How to prepare:
Warm up the milk until it starts boiling. Add the sugar. After that slowly start pouring the grits while stirring constantly so that the mix becomes consistent and not form chunks of uncooked grits. The mixture will turn thicker within a few minutes. The last but also essential for this dessert ingredient is the vanilla that will make it irresistible. Some people like adding a tablespoon or two for homogenized. However, even without this ingredient, the dessert is just fine. While it is warm, you need to move the grits in damp cups. Finish it up with cinnamon and berries of your choice or just a spoon of your favorite jam.
You can start enjoying right away or consume it after it has been cooled in the fridge for a few hours.
