Exploring Toronto: Friday Night Out at the Comedy Bar

The name of the show was Tits vs. Personality and I went to watch it just because of the fun name. Fro One Night Only “Tits vs. Personality” is a monthly comedy show at the Comedy Bar in Toronto (Btw the name is really “FRO” and not “FOR One Night Only”).

Tits Versus Personality Comedy Bar Toronto

Co-Hosts: (as always) Aisha Alfa & Adrienne Fish

We often go to improv comedy shows and stand up comedy shows at the Comedy Bar but this one was one of the most hilarious I’ve seen. The way the show was set up was: Two teams of comedians – One that was supposed to perform jokes about tits and one that was perform for personality. However, I can definitely say that every single person on this show had personality! The show was full. It was Friday Night!

Photo Credi: The Comedy BarI went with my hubby – Teo who was the initiator. (I’ve been having a hard time going out lately. I guess it is a seasonal disorder.)

Friday Night

We walked in and the girl at the door said: “And make sure you sit in the front rows..”

I thought: “Yeah, right, like we don’t know that these are the hot spots.” We sat in the second row, just to make sure we are not in the first row where (if you have not been at a stand up comedy) people get “bullied” by the comedians.

Team Tits:

  • Aisha Brown (Co-Host of Hard Day Comedy)
  • Candice Gregoris (CCA Nominee & SheDot Festival)
  • Camille Cote (NXNE, West End Girls)

Team Personality:

  • Eric Andrews (Just For Laughs Homegrown, Canada’s Next Top Comic winner)
  • Lianne Mauladin (The View, Hubcap Comedy Fest)
  • Todd Graham (No kidding, Comedy Records)

Headliner: Clifford Myers (NXNE, Evolve Fest)

Some of my favorite jokes were performed by the hosts of the show. They were two curly (when I say curly, I really mean it), cute, and hilarious young girls with attitude towards tits. 🙂

..And others were presented by Lianne Mauladin and they were subway jokes because she said she “spends too much time there”. Who doesn’t love jokes about TTC? Everyone has a story to tell about their experience in Toronto’s public transit.

As I mentioned above, we were sitting in the second row and the comedians’ eyes spotted us as well but  they joked around the most with a guy in the first row who had a #movember #mo big enough to be mentioned on stage at least 10 times. He loved it though.

At the end of the show the hosts, together with Derryck Birch from DEEZ LAUGHS ,  gave us live results voting devices to help us vote for the the best performers team.

Guess who won?

Of course personality because personality matters more than anything else (my philosophy sneaked in.)

The show happens the first Friday of every month and if you decide to go to the next show and you don’t want to be bugged, an advice from me would be : DON’T SIT ON THE FIRST ROW AND DON’T WEAR MOUSTACHE.

Have fun!

Upcoming shows.
